Washington's favorite party band, The Grandsons, perform a groovy blend of roots, rhythm and blues, rockabilly, country and vintage pop. Bringing with them a pawnshop of instruments, The Grandsons feature vocalist-guitarist-trumpeter Alan MacEwen, DC blues veteran Matthew Sedgley on drums and vocals, Chris Watling on saxophones and accordian, and Eric Bowers on upright bass and vocals. With numerous Washington Area Music Association 'Wammie' Awards under their belt, and sold-out performances at the Kennedy Center, the Barns of Wolf Trap, and Austin's popular South By Southwest Festival, The Grandsons are not to be missed.
