Paul Hadfield demonstrates the world of physical comedy as a tight wire walker, juggler, acrobat, and unicyclist in humorous thematic contexts that harken to the days of Vaudeville and the joys of clowning. He performs flawless juggling and acrobatics while taking on the persona of a wacky character that is sure to make a lasting impression. Workshops are available for students grades 3 through 6.
General Foolishness (K-6) is an imaginative production that combines a broad array of humor, circus skills, music, and physical comedy. In his efforts to "present the latest in military technology," the General invariably meets hilarious outcomes. Audience participation is interwoven around the General's performance of amazing feats, such as balancing atop an 8-foot unsupported ladder. Spats, the Lost Vaudevillian (K-6) mistakenly stops at your school on his way to New York City to "hit the Big Time." Spats creates the warmth and energy of live Vaudeville theater. Sharing the thrills, stories and laughter of early 20th Century Vaudeville, he leaves students with their own memory of a wonderful time before radio and television when imagination was king. |
