Native Ghanaians Kofi Dennis and Kwame Ansah Brew preserve and promote the traditions of their heritage through games, music, drumming, and dance. Their programs include an introduction to African clothing, musical instruments, and culture, then proceed to include the audience in an interactive storytelling and musical experience. With their extensive background as teachers and performers, and expertise in character education, Anansegromma has developed programs that engage, educate and entertain audiences of all ages.
West African Dance, Drums, and Games (K-5) is an exhilarating and memorable introduction to West African culture. Sharing their rich traditions through 'call and response' songs, games, mime, dance, and drum rhythms, Kofi and Kwame invite active participation from their audience. Their energetic program includes demonstrations of authentic musical instruments, and an explanation of kente cloth symbolism. |
