Wildlife Ambassadors enlightens and delights its audience with live animals (the ambassadors). They have presented shows for thousands of children and adults, expanding horizons and creating an understanding of the world beyond our backdoors, without having to leave the area. The Animal Ambassadors family includes reptiles, birds, mammals and invertebrates from all over the world!
Last Paradise on Earth: Our Rain Forests (K-12) Journey to the fascinating world of tropical rain forests, where you will meet mischievous coatimundis, colorful parrots, giant insects, a huge iguana and a friendly boa constrictor. Discover the importance of the rain forests and the daily struggle that this fragile ecosystem faces. Creepy Crawlies (K-12) Meet some of the world's most unpopular animals and find out the truth behind the myths. Find out the difference between poison and venom when you meet our resident tarantulas, scorpions, and giant millipedes. Discover a giant cockroach of the tropics, a poisonous toad from the rain forest as well as a python that "hugs" his prey. Survival Strategies (K-12) This program may involve any of our "Ambassadors." Survival Strategies takes you behind the scenes to find out how animals survive in the wild. Learn what it means to be the predator or the prey, how animals defend themselves, camouflage and find food. It's a wild world out there! Animal Buddies (preschool only) Introduce youngsters to the natural world with live animals from around the world. Preschoolers will be able to feel a variety of furry, scaly and feathered creatures.
Meet 'N Greet (K-12) Designed to follow a large scale assembly. This special set up allows students to meet some of the animals up close, view artifacts, speak with a wildlife educator and in some cases touch an animal. 25 students every fifteen minutes. Live Animal Exhibits In addition to school assembly programs, Animal Ambassadors offers live animal exhibits for school and community festivals and fairs. This is an informal setup with 8-10 animals, plus artifacts such as eggs, skulls, and feathers. Visitors can meet and touch animals and speak to a wildlife educator. |
